Early Complications after Limb Salvage Procedures: Prospective Cross Sectional Study

Introduction: Sarcomas are tumors that mesenchymal in origin involving bone and soft tissues occurring all age groups. Giant cell tumor, although benign, is locally aggressive can also destroy the bone. Amputation was once considered primary treatment but now with advancements diagnostic imaging modalities, surgical procedures adjuvant therapies, limb salvage surgeries have become preferred modality. The objective of our study to determine incidence early complications within first thirty days patients who underwent surgery at hospital. secondary assess association these patient-related factors, modality, tumor characteristics neoadjuvant therapy. Methodology: All or tissue sarcoma giant extremities wide excision from February 2020 December 2021 were included this study. Data collected prospectively on follow-up visits clinic for one month. compiled analyzed using SPSS version 22. A p-value <0.05 significant throughout Results: total 60 mean 39.90 years. Bone found 35 25 respectively. 13 experienced postoperative 30 surgery. gender distribution, prior comorbid conditions, type anatomical location therapy be statistically insignificant.
